Paul Newton is an award-winning photographer who has been capturing images from around the world for several decades. From the exploration of Iceland’s raw, natural landscape, to the abandoned monuments of the Balkans, the streets of Stockholm, vignettes in Australia, spectacular British Columbia, and capturing the simple beauty of the Canadian Prairies, Paul continues his journey between faraway places and locations close to his New Westminster home.

There is profound consideration for the distinct qualities of colour and black & white photography. He appreciates the wealth of light, mood and ambience allowing his creative eye to perceive and express. Working with multiple techniques, escape is the underlying thread to all images. The fundamental photographic element is to transport the viewer to new places, both real and imaginary.
